I am an artist. A person that needs to create to feel alive. Weather it is a painting with words or speaking through images, I use various avenues to express myself and constantly create things that speak to me at a very personal level.

I remember writing stories and sketching things since I was a very young girl back in Cuba. My deep passion for poetry has become part of my daily routine, I wouldn’t know how to be happy without writing a poem more often than not. I tell stories, I live my own creations. Sometimes more in my mind and in my heart than in real life. Sometimes your mind and your heart is all you need, and imagination and inspiration become a state of being where reality recharges its batteries.

I’m the mom of two amazing kids, one of them born with special needs. He has shown me the hard world, the one that requires sweating blood to get what you want, the one that reminds me that I have to speak what he is unable to speak, walk where he is unable to walk, and reach the highest possible peak. Because no matter how much a condition “disables you”, the hope to overcome makes you limitless.

I love, because I don’t know how to be, or who to be, without being defined by it, and GOD is Love. I dream because I need to survive. I cry, because tears are like ink, they write incredible stories, and I laugh just to hear myself sound alive and happy at that very moment. I go back and forth between Spanish and English, and I like it. I live, to create, to find purpose, in everything I see and live, and even in that which I don’t.

Finally, I have a BA in Film & Media Studies from Arizona State University, and I have also completed the Power Voice Training with world renown speaker Mr. Les Brown as my mentor.

My professional career includes freelance photography and content development, managing and developing the family business, and Social Listening Specialist for Subway LATAM. I have also been invited to speak and present at different venues, congregations, and virtual summits.
